JCPenney: appoints, recruits new executives

C. Penney said on Tuesday that it has promoted Mike Robbins to the role of chief stores and supply chain officer in a move to better meet customer needs and expectations.
In his new role, Robbins will be responsible for all stores, supply chain and sourcing operations, the Texas-based company said.
In addition, Truett Horne, who is currently an associate at consulting group McKinsey & Company, will join the company as chief transformation officer.
Horne will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company's strategic and transformational initiatives.
In its statement, J. C. Penney also said that it is still looking for a chief merchant officer and a chief customer officer. The search for a chief financial officer is well underway, it added.
