Moderna: 7m more Covid vaccine doses for Philippines
(CercleFinance.com) - Following a new supply agreement, Moderna announced on Monday that the Philippines will receive an additional 7 million doses of its Covid-19 vaccine, bringing its total confirmed order to 20 million doses.
The additional 7 million doses are secured through a partnership with the private sector, the company said.
Moderna stresses, however, that its vaccine is not currently approved in the country but that it is working with regulators to obtain the necessary approvals before distribution.
Announced on 6 March, the initial agreement was for the supply of 13 million doses, to be delivered from mid-2021.
