Microsoft: sees surge in use of cloud services
(CercleFinance.com) - Microsoft has seen a 775% increase in its cloud services in countries that have enforced social distancing or lockdown measures, the US software giant said on Monday.
The tech company said its Azure cloud platform has seen a big spike in the use of its "Teams" collaborative app, which now has over 44 million daily users.
On Teams, users generated over 900 million meeting and calling minutes daily in a single week, Microsoft said.
Again regarding cloud services, Microsoft said its top priority remains supporting health and safety organizations, with the world's biggest software company in particular providing the highest level of monitoring for first responders (fire, EMS, and police dispatch systems).
