Microsoft: Q1 beats consensus

7 billion dollars, meaning EPS of 1.38 dollar, 14 cents above the consensus.
The Redmond (Washington) based IT giant's revenue grew by 14% to 33.1 billion dollars, with commercial cloud revenue up 36% at 11.6 billion dollars.
The group added that it has paid out 7.9 billion dollars to shareholders over this perid - either in the form of dividends or share buybacks, which represents a 28% y-o-y increase.
