Microsoft: easily beats expectations in Q4.

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening, Microsoft Q4 2016-17 adjusted net profit (non-GAAP) that was up 40% to almost 7.
7 billion dollars, meaning EPS of 98 cents, against the consensus of just 71 cents.

After some adjustments, the IT giant's revenues increased 9%, to 24.7 billion dollars, as expected by analysts. Innovations on its cloud platforms delivered solid results this quarter, said CEO Satya Nadella.

Microsoft is clearly catching up its delays in the cloud and is becoming the second largest player in data centers in the world, behind AWS (Amazon Web Services), said broker Aurel BGC, pointing out that the Azure platform is reporting 97% growth.
