Lockheed Martin: 3.7 billion dollar anti-missile system
(CercleFinance.com) - The US Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has selected Lockheed Martin and its partner Aerojet Rocketdyne to develop the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI), a missile defence system designed to protect and defend the United States against intercontinental ballistic missiles.
A 3.7 billion dollar contract has been awarded for the first phase of the project to modernise the current Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system, Lockheed Martin said.
