IBM: expands partnership with Britain's WANdisco
(CercleFinance.com) - During its trading update on Monday, British software maker WANdisco said it has agreed to a partnership deal with US computing giant IBM, which goes beyond the current terms of their partnership.
The agreement significantly expanded the relationship with IBM, increasing royalty to the 50% threshold, from 30% previously, with a guaranteed annual minimum commitment, the developer said.
Both companies also plan a deeper integration including joint engineering work to support IBM's advanced data query suite and other products, expanding the company's market.
The deal should soon pave the way for new customers in insurance, banking, telecommunications and US Government, WANdisco said.
WANdisco enables companies to access applications and data through crises, such as data centre failures.
