Intel: takes 0.4% stake in India's Jio Platforms
(CercleFinance.com) - Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries announced on Friday that Intel Capital has taken a 0.
4% stake in its telecommunications and technology arm, Jio Platforms.
"Jio Platforms' focus on applying its impressive engineering capabilities to bring the power of low-cost digital services to India aligns with Intel's purpose," the US chipmaker said.
Intel joins the list of tech giants, including Facebook, who have recently invested in Jio Platforms.
