HPE: jumps after raising outlook
(CercleFinance.com) - Hewlett Packard Enterprise shares are up almost 3% on Wednesday after the US data center technology company raised its full-year outlook and posted its third-quarter results.
HPE said it improved both its gross and operating margins in its fiscal third quarter 2019 to 31 July.
While quarterly net revenue fell by 7% to 7.2 billion dollars, non-GAAP diluted net EPS rose to 0.45 dollar, up from 0.42 dollar a year ago.
Its gross margin reached 33.9%, up 340 basis points from the year before, with its operating margin also on the up at 9.9%, from 9.1% a year ago.
HPE has also raised its guidance. For full-year 2019, Hewlett Packard Enterprise now forecasts non-GAAP diluted net EPS of between 1.72 dollar to 1.76 dollar.
The HPE share is currently trading up 2.9% at 13.3 dollars on the NYSE.
