GE: under scrutiny from Brussels in the LM Wind case.
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has informed GE of a preliminary finding accusing the US conglomerate of incorrect or misleading information during its investigation into GE's acquisition of the Danish wind turbine manufacturer LM Wind.
More specifically, it accuses GE of not providing it with information regarding its research and development activities and the development of a specific product.
Brussels has said that in the event that GE is confirmed to either have intentionally or by negligence violated the merger's rules, it could fine it up to 1% of its global turnover.
