Gap: buys kids clothing line Janie and Jack
(CercleFinance.com) - US fashion retailer Gap said late on Monday that it has acquired Janie and Jack, a manufacturer of premium children's clothes from specialty retailer Gymboree Group, for approximately 35 million dollars.
Janie and Jack operates over 100 retail stores in the US, along with an e-commerce site.
The company will continue to operate as a standalone brand based in San Francisco, GAP said.
