Ford: names Amazon veteran as new CFO, effective in June

(CercleFinance.com) - US car giant Ford has appointed Tim Stone, an executive who formerly worked at Amazon for 20 years and who was CFO of Snap, as its new chief financial officer on Thursday.

The 52-year-old executive will replace Bob Shanks, who announced his intention to retire at the end of the year.

Stone will join Ford on 15 April as a company officer and will assume the role of CFO on 1 June.

He joined Amazon in 1998 as the company's corporate controller and head of tax. Through the years, he led investor relations, and headed European financial operations for the e-commerce giant.
