Ford: fire at parts supplier affecting U.S. production
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford Motor said on Thursday that a fire that occurred at one of the company's suppliers last week was affecting the production of certain vehicles, due to a shortage of components.
The US carmaker said it is seeking to mitigate production losses after the May 2 fire, working with its supply base to offset the impact.
While the production shortage is expected to have an adverse impact on results, guidance of adjusted EPS between 1.45 dollar and 1.70 dollar for the full year remains unchanged, Ford said.
