ExxonMobil: signs agreement on CO2 removal technology
(CercleFinance.com) - ExxonMobil said that it has entered into an agreement with California-based materials startup Mosaic Materials to explore technology that can remove carbon dioxide from emissions sources.
The Berkeley-based Mosaic Materials has developed a process that uses porous solids, known as metal-organic frameworks, to separate carbon dioxide from air or flue gas.
The agreement will enable further discussion between both companies to evaluate opportunities for industrial uses of the technology at scale, Exxon said on Monday.
