ExxonMobil: petrochemical complex in China
(CercleFinance.com) - ExxonMobil has announced that it has signed a framework cooperation agreement with the authorities of China's Guangdong Province to discuss a chemical complex in the Huizhou Dayawan Petrochemical Industrial Park.
This multi-billion dollar project, which remains subject to a final investment decision and which is expected to be launched in 2023, will help meet the expected growth in demand for chemical products in China.
It is part of the US energy giant's desire to increase its chemical production capacity by around 40% in the Asia-Pacific and North America zones, particularly thanks to the creation of 13 new sites.
