Dupont: agreement to settle PFAS dispute
(CercleFinance.com) - Chemours, DuPont and Corteva announce an agreement in principle to resolve claims regarding the presence of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in certain public water systems in the US.

The three chemical groups will collectively establish a settlement fund and contribute a total of $1.185bn to it, including about $592m for Chemours, $400m for DuPont and $193m for Corteva.
Once a final settlement with the plaintiffs is reached, which is expected in Q2 2023, i.e. soon, the settlement will be subject to approval by the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.
