Dollar Tree: a disappointing Q4

(CercleFinance.com) - Unveiled before Wall Street opened on Thursday, Dollar Tree's Q4 results included EPS of 4.
37 dollars against 1.36 dollar a year earlier.

Excluding extraordinary items, EPS reached 1.89 dollar, a touch below the consensus of 1.9 dollar.

The same is true for the group's revenues, which rose less than expected to 6.36 billion dollars, after 5.64 billion dollars and the consensus of billion dollars. In particular, same-store sales rose by just 2.4% and 2.5% in adjusted terms, compared with the consensus of 2.9%.

Dollar Tree expects turnover of between 22.7 billion and 23.12 billion dollars in 2018. Meanwhile, the consensus expects 23.09 billion dollars.
