Walt Disney: posts net loss for Q4
(CercleFinance.com) - Walt Disney has reported a net loss of 710 million dollars for Q4 2019-20, or 39 cents per share.
Excluding extraordinary items, the loss reached 20 cents per share, although this was significantly less than analysts had feared.
Operating income by segment plunged 82% to 606 million dollars, with revenues down 23% to 14.7 billion dollars, as Covid-19 ravaged its parks, experiences and products (-61%) and studios (-52%).
Therefore, for its full year ended 3 October, the media and entertainment giant posted adjusted EPS that was divided by three at 2.02 dollars, for revenues that are down 6% to 65.4 billion dollars.
