Bristol-Myers Squibb: to collaborate with Voluntis
(CercleFinance.com) - US drugmaker Bristol-Myers Squibb said on Wednesday that it has signed a collaboration agreement with the Franco-American medtech firm Voluntis to create digital apps for cancer patients.
The deal will assess potential solutions supporting the management of patient symptoms and remote monitoring by healthcare providers, the companies said.
The goal is that the digital therapeutic, once developed, gives patients access to a mobile app that would support treatment and track symptoms, they said.
Voluntis creates digital therapeutics for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes to self-manage their treatment every day, adjusting treatment dosage, as well as managing side effects and monitoring symptoms.
