Boeing: US Navy contract begins
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing announced on Friday that it has begun a five-year program to upgrade 160 EA-18G Growler warplanes owned by the US Navy.
It said that the modifications will focus on updating the aircraft's architecture and mission systems to increase their capabilities.
Boeing says that Growlers play an important role in jamming radar and communications signals in the face of a threat, disabling the enemy's detection capacities.
