AutoZone: Q2 EPS above expectations
(CercleFinance.com) - AutoZone, a distributor of automotive equipment, has announced Q2 2019-20 EPS (period ended 15 February) that is up 7.
8% at 12.39 dollars, about sixty cents above the consensus.
The company, which based in Memphis (Tennessee) increased its operating profit by 2% to 407.9 million dollars, for revenues that are up 2.6% at 2.5 billion dollars, although which are down 0.8% at constant stores in the United States alone.
"We had particularly challenging sales in specific weather sensitive categories and geographies, indicating to us that the mild winter was a considerable headwind to our and our industry's sales performance," said Chairman and CEO Bill Rhodes.
