On New Year's day alone, customers spent 386 million dollars on the App Store, up 20% year-on-year, breaking a new record for a single day.
These numbers confirm the Californian technology giant's recent push on the services market, characterized by the launch of Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, Apple News+ and Apple Card this year.
"2019 was the biggest year for services in Apple's history," noted Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Internet software and services.
Since the App Store was launched in 2008, it has brought in over 155 billion dollars for developers, the company said.
