American Eagle: Q4 results unsurprising
(CercleFinance.com) - Unveiled before Wall Street opened on Thursday, American Eagle's Q4 accounts were marked by EPS of 52 cents, up sharply from 30 cents a year earlier.
Excluding extraordinary items, EPS was 44 cents, in line with the consensus.
Turnover came in slightly above expectations at 1.23 billion dollars, after 1.1 billion dollars in Q4 2016 and 1.21 billion dollars anticipated by the consensus. In particular, revenues increased by 8% like-for-like; 0.8 point above the consensus.
However, sales are only expected to increase slightly in Q1 2018, with analysts expecting 3.2% growth.
