Amazon: leads latest funding round for Deliveroo
(CercleFinance.com) - US technology giant has led a 575 million dollar funding round for Deliveroo, taking the total amount that the British food delivery startup has raised to date to 1.
5 billion dollars.
In a statement, Amazon said that it is "impressed" with Deliveroo's approach, and their dedication to providing customers with an ever increasing selection of restaurants, along with convenient delivery options.
Deliveroo said the financing round will help it to invest in expanding the company's tech team at its UK headquarters, reach new customers, and continue innovating through its delivery-only "super kitchens."
