Amazon: signs Ryanair as cloud customer

com said Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair had signed up for its Amazon Web Services (AWS), marking another deal win in cloud computing for the Seattle-based company.
The budget airline plans to move its infrastructure to AWS to transform the digital offer for over 130 million customers, and plans to close the vast majority of its datacentres over the next three years.
The group - which already runs several core production workloads on AWS -is seeking to rebuild its legacy systems into cloud-based customer travel services by standardising on various AWS services, including AWS databases, analytics, machine learning, and deep learning services, Amazon said.
The US company did not say how much the deal was worth.
