Air Products: major investment in Uzbekistan
(CercleFinance.com) - Air Products has announced signing an investment agreement with the Government of Uzbekistan and Uzbekneftegaz for the acquisition, ownership and operation of a $1bn natural gas to syngas facility.
The gas processing complex is an integral part of Uzbekneftegaz's gas-to-liquids facility, which produces 1.5 million tonnes per year of high value-added synthetic fuels.
Following the agreement, the US group will acquire, own and operate equipment to supply oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas to Uzbekneftegaz under a long-term contract.
