Assa Abloy: new structure built around Entrance Systems
(CercleFinance.com) - Assa Abloy said it will form a new divisional structure for its Entrance Systems unit, given the rapid development of the entrance automation business.
The Swedish lockmaker said the new structure will include four business segments: pedestrian, industrial, residential and perimeter security, with the latter currently part of the group's opening solutions Americas division.
The move will create new opportunities to scale up and potentially drive a global expansion, Assa Abloy, which sees increased focus on operations and further synergies.
The group has started to look for a new head for Entrance Systems division and the changes are planned to take effect in early 2020, it said.
Since its creation in 2006, the Entrance Systems division has seen is annual sales increase from 3 billion Swedish kronor to over 25 billion Swedish kronor.
