Assa Abloy: buys US biometric identity management firm
(CercleFinance.com) - Swedish lock maker Assa Abloy said on Monday that it has bought Crossmatch, a US manufacturer of biometric identity management and secure authentication solutions.
The purchase price was not disclosed, but Assa Abloy said in a statement that the acquired firm - based in Florida - had 270 employees and was expected to record sales of 125 million dollars this year, with a "good" EBIT margin.
Assa Abloy said Crossmatch is a strategic technological addition, reinforcing its offering on the growing biometric identity management market.
