Assa Abloy: U.S. acquisition in entrance automation.
(CercleFinance.com) - Swedish lock maker Assa Abloy has acquired Atlantic Door Control, a pedestrian door distributor in Maryland and Virginia.
The group, which wants to expand in North America, said the acquisition will further reinforce its leadership in entrance automation, where sales have increased six-fold between 2008 and 2016.
Established in 1992 and headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, Atlantic Door Control is targeting sales of around 12 million dollars this year.
The acquisition is expected to have an accretive effect on earnings from the start, Assa Abloy said.
