SAS: travellers can buy biofuel to cut their emissions
(CercleFinance.com) - Scandinavian airline SAS is launching a new service that gives travellers the option to purchase biofuel when booking a ticket so they can reduce their climate impact.
The non-profit making service aims to pioneer a large-scale and competitive market for biofuel, which reduces CO2 emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional jet fuel, SAS said.
The biofuels purchased will be added to the biofuels already purchased by the company.
