Statoil: corporate and executive structure shake-up
(CercleFinance.com) - Statoil is making some adjustments in its corporate structure to ensure executive renewal and reflect the development of its international operations, the Norwegian oil group said on Friday.
With the shake-up, the current head of international development and production (DPI) Lars Christian Bacher will take over as CFO, succeeding Hans Jakob Hegge, who will take the position of US country manager.
Statoil said that the inclusion of US operations in the DPI unit is a consequence of US operations maturing significantly over the last few years.
Statoil also plans establish Brazil as a separate business area, as it represents a new core area for the company.
The changes are planned to take place between 1 May and 15 October, Statoil said.
