Telenor: sells stake in Wave Money
(CercleFinance.com) - Telenor announced on Wednesday that it has sold its 34.
2% stake in Wave Money, a Myanmar-based money transfer specialist, to Singaporean holding company Yoma Strategic Holdings.
The Norwegian mobile operator estimates that the sale will raise 76.5 million dollars, representing a return on investment that it considers AS "attractive".
Despite this sale, Telenor says it still plans to continue its strategic collaboration with Wave Money.
