Telenor: chooses CEO of Pakistan unit to lead Asia cluster
(CercleFinance.com) - Norwegian telecom group Telenor said on Monday that it has chosen Irfan Khan, currently CEO of Telenor Pakistan, to be the head of its emerging Asia cluster.
In his new role, Khan will take charge of the operator's major growth markets in Asia, which have over 130 million customers.
Beyond Pakistan, Telenor is present in Thailand, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Irfan Khan is also joining Telenor Group's executive management team, the company said.
