AkzoNobel: buys back 63.5 million euros of own shares
(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch paints and coatings maker AkzoNobel said it has bought 796,840 of its own shares over the past week, amounting to 63.
5 million euros.
The company has repurchased its own ordinary shares from 25 February to 1 March inclusive at an average price of 79.69 euros per share, it said.
This is part of the buyback program that the group announced last month following the sale of its specialty chemicals business.
The share buyback is due to be completed by the end of 2019, Akzo said.
