Altice: considers selling its Dominican subsidiary.

(CercleFinance.com) - According to the Financial Times (FT), Altice is planning to sell its Dominican Republic subsidiary in order to reduce its debt, as part of its plan to sell "non-strategic" assets.

It may also consider selling its business in Switzerland.

Bought from Orange for 1.1 billion euros in 2013, the telecom group's Dominican business generated 2016 revenues of 715.7 million euros, with an operating profit 185.2 million euros.

The process is only at a preliminary stage, adds the British business daily. Altice announced on Monday it would embark on divestments that could be completed in the first half of 2018.
