Constellium: up 6%, due to takeover rumour.
(CercleFinance.com) - The share of aluminium producer Constellium, is up around 6% at lunchtime in Paris.
According to the Bloomberg news agency, the Indian group Aditya Birla Group is considering making a takeover bid on the company.
Led by the Indian billionaire Kumar Mangalam Birla, Aditya Birla Group is reportedly planning to strengthen its presence in western countries. To do so, it is considering making a bid for Constellium, which is based in Europe, or alternatively the US group Aleris.
Note that no decision is has been made so far, and the process is just at preliminary stages, Bloomberg adds.
