PostNL: share down after Q3 results
(CercleFinance.com) - The PostNL share was down over 2% on Tuesday in Amsterdam, with the postal group having reported a lower-than-expected increase in volumes handled over Q3.
However, it reported slightly better-than-expected Q3 results, with normalised operating profit rising to 36 million euros for the period July-September, compared with 26 million euros a year earlier.
Sales also picked up, rising from 636 million euros to 742 million euros this year, notably thanks to a 16.8% increase in parcel volumes.
However, the consensus was looking for a greater increase of around 20%.
