Euronext: volumes up sequentially

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening Euronext reported a month-on-month increase in activity in March on its cash markets, with a 10.
6% rise in average daily volume traded.

Over one month, i.e. relative to February 2021, average daily volumes on its cash markets rose to nearly 70.2 million transactions, compared with 63.4 million the previous month.

However, year-on-year activity was down 39% from the 114.9 million transactions recorded in March 2020, at the height of the stockmarket tornado resulting from the Covid outbreak.

In a statement, the pan-European stockmarket group announced that its listing activity slowed, with 14 IPOs in March compared to 17 in February.

However, IPOs on its markets were better, with a total of 2.1 billion euros of capital raised compared to less than 1.4 billion euros the previous month.
