Euronext: launches takeover bid on Oslo Børs VPS
(CercleFinance.com) - Euronext has announced launching a takeover bid on Oslo Børs VPS, the Norwegian stock exchange operator, at a price of 145 Norwegian kronor per share, or a total of 6.
24 billion kronor (625 million euros).
This price represents a 34% premium relative to the weighted average price of volumes traded over the last three months. It will be accompanied by an interest payment of 6% per annum, between the date of acceptance until the terms of the offer are satisfied.
This period of acceptance begins today, Monday 15 January and will expire when the market closes (5.30 p.m.) on 11 February, a period that may be extended. The Pan-European stockmarket operator has already obtained support from shareholders representing 50.5% of Oslo Børs VPS' capital.
