Gemalto: reinforces its collaboration with Mobike.
(CercleFinance.com) - Digital security specialist Gemalto has announced the extension of its collaboration with Mobike for secure Internet access for this Chinese company's self-service bicycles.
Gemalto's Cinterion M2M module and Machine Identification Module (MIM) are integrated into the smart bike's locking mechanism to transmit location data and hence manage remote locking.
As Gemalto's modules are pre-certified with major operators around the world, this collaboration will enable Mobike to launch the service globally, in addition to other connected services that will be added in the future.
