Wolters Kluwer: 9m earnings up
(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday the Dutch publisher Wolters Kluwer announced increases in both earnings and sales over the first nine months of the year, despite the currently difficult economic context.
On an organic basis, group sales rose by 3% at end-September, while its adjusted operating profit rose by 17% at constant exchange rates.
The group's digital subscriptions and strategic services stood out, in addition to its US division (62% of sales, with organic growth of 4% over 9m), the group said.
However, expressing its caution, the group refused to provide FY targets.
At noon the share was down around 0.5%, while the STOXX Europe 600 Media index was down less than 0.2%.
