Wolters Kluwer: buys Dutch risk management expert
(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch specialist publisher Wolters Kluwer has said that it has signed an agreement to acquire CGE to strenghten its presence in the growing operational risk management software market.
CGE serves risk experts in over 2,500 businesses and public entities who operate in high-risk and asset-intensive industries, including oil & gas, energy, aviation, and healthcare.
Founded in 2004, the firm has approximately 30 employees and is headquartered in The Netherlands.
CGE's best-known product is "BowTieXP," a solution that shows bowtie diagrams to visualize risks, and provide an overview of plausible incident scenarios.
The deal - which will have a positive, although fairly insignificant impact on earnings - is expected to close in the first quarter of 2020.
