Wolters Kluwer: 2019 has started well, group says
(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch publisher Wolters Kluwer said that the year 2019 has started well, overall in line with its expectations, and the group stuck to its full-year guidance on Wednesday.
In a trading update this morning, Wolters Kluwer - whose publications cover businesses such as accounting and corporate governance - said first quarter revenues increased 9% in euros in the first quarter, due to the strength of the US dollar.
Excluding FX factors, first-quarter revenues increased 4% in constant currencies.
Its health unit saw revenues decline 1% at constant currencies as a result of divestments, but revenues increased 5% in organic terms, the group said.
The Dutch company also reiterated its full-year outlook of delivering "another year of solid organic growth."
However, its first-half adjusted operating margin is expected to decline slightly, it said.
The shares were up 1.5% on Euronext Amsterdam after the report.
