SBM Offshore: chosen by Statoil for Johan Castberg project.
(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch maritime engineering group SBM Offshore said on Thursday it had been awarded a contract from Norwegian oil firm Statoil for a large-scale turret mooring system for the major Johan Castberg project.
The turret is planned to be delivered in modules in early 2020, in 370 meter water depth. The Johan Castberg field is located in the Barents Sea in Norway.
SBM, which builds floating production solutions to the offshore energy industry, did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
