Airbus: satellites on their way to launch site
(CercleFinance.com) - The first two Pleiades Neo imaging satellites built by Airbus have arrived at Cayenne airport in French Guiana and are now on their way to the European Space Centre in Kourou, Airbus said today.
Scheduled for launch in April 2021, Pleiades Neo 3 will join the existing Airbus fleet of optical and radar satellites, bringing increased resolution, revisit and coverage. It will be followed a few weeks later by its twin, Pleiades Neo 4.
Entirely financed, manufactured, owned and operated by Airbus, Pleiades Neo will provide institutional and commercial clients with high-level information for the next decade.
The images will be easily accessible on Airbus' OneAtlas digital platform, giving customers immediate access to freshly acquired and archived data and analysis.
