Airbus: Germany orders 38 Eurofighters

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces that it has signed a contract for the delivery of 38 new Eurofighter fighter jets to the German Air Force.
This means that Germany is now the country that has placed the most orders under the largest European defense program.

The order, known as the Quadriga Project, covers the delivery of 30 single-seaters and eight two-seaters. Three aircraft will be equipped with additional test facilities as instrumented test aircraft for the program's future development.

The contract guarantees production until 2030 and comes at a strategically important time for the Eurofighter. Along with an expected order from Spain to replace old F-18s, purchasing decisions will be made in Switzerland and Finland in 2021.
