Airbus: record commercial airplane deliveries in 2019
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus boasts 863 commercial aircraft deliveries to 99 different clients in 2019, with total deliveries exceeding the previous record set in 2018 by 8%, in addition to a 17th consecutive increase in annual production.
The aircraft manufacturer says that it "progressed on the transition to all NEO variants" and, at the end of 2019, delivered 173 wide-body aircraft, its highest number in a single year.
In addition, the pan-European group recorded 1,131 new orders last year, including 768 net orders compared to 747 in 2018, bringing its order backlog to 7,482 aircraft at the end of 2019.
