Airbus: Indigo orders 300 aircraft from A320neo family
(CercleFinance.com) - IndiGo (India) has placed a firm order for 300 aircraft from the A320neo family.
It is one of the largest Airbus aircraft orders from a single airline.
This latest IndiGo order includes A320neo, A321neo and A321XLR aircraft. It will bring the total number of orders for IndiGo's A320neo family to 730.
"IndiGo has brilliantly demonstrated the relevance of the A320neo for leading low cost operators, and the A321neo - and now the A321XLR - provide our operators with the logical next step in cost efficiency, passenger comfort and market coverage," said Christian SchererChristian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer.
"India is expected to continue with its strong aviation growth and we are well on our way to build the world's best air transportation system," said Ronojoy Dutta, Chief Executive Officer of IndiGo.
