Airbus: delivers first of 12 A220-300 to Egyptair
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has delivered the first of twelve A220-300 ordered by Egyptair.
The airline has thus become the first operator of the A220 based in the Middle East and North Africa region and the sixth largest operator worldwide. Egyptair will fly the aircraft on lines from and to its Egyptian home base airport in Cairo in a few days' time.
Egyptair's new A220-300 has two classes, with 140 seats; 15 seats in Premium Economy class and 125 seats in Economy class.
Egyptair currently flies a fleet of 15 Airbus planes and has also ordered 15 A320neo and 11 A220, which will be delivered over the next few years.
