Airbus: delivers first A320neo to Atlantic Airways
(CercleFinance.com) - Atlantic Airways, the national airline of the Faroe Islands, has received its first A320neo.
Leased to Air Lease Corporation, this aircraft is equipped with CFMI LEAP-1A engines and is configured with an all-economy cabin layout.
With its new Airbus fleet, Atlantic Airways will further develop its European network. The airline, a client of Airbus since 2008, already operates a fleet entirely composed of three craft from the A320 series (two A319ceo and one A320ceo currently). The airline has also recently made a firm order for two additional A320neos.
With over 6,500 orders received from more than 100 clients, the A320 series has a market share of approximately 60%.
